The Board of Managers approved the following language at the October
15, 2008 meeting:

Opting Out of playoffs

If a school does not wish to participate in the Section's post-season
playoffs, the school administration must notify in writing the
Commissioner and Sport Advisory Chair two days prior to the seeding
meeting.

If a school is seeded into the post-season tournament and withdraws the
fine will be $1000. To reduce the fine to $500, the school
administration must present a corrective action plan at the next
Executive Council meeting and must attend the following years
administrative workshop in August.
