Coaches: Those with qualifying players in the
Girls’ Northern Section Individual Championships seeding meeting at Round Table Pizza at
Friday October 28th, 6:30 in Red Bluff to conduct the draw for the tournament. Shasta High School Will host.
Important for all North Section Team Championship contenders:
All participating teams in the Team Championship playoffs please note that the current schedule does not account for the EAL North and South teams to play their qualifying matches, so another day needs to be added to the schedule. The four qualifying teams from the EAL North and South will play Tuesday October 25th, the two winning teams will then play the two NAL teams on Wednesday October 26th, and the runner up will then play the champion of the BVL and SVL on Thursday October 27th (the added day) to determine the NSCIF Runner-Up to the NorCal Regionals.
(Because of this added day the seeding meeting for the Individual Tournament has to occur Friday—only a day before the start of the individual tournament. I will prepare programs in advance of the meeting.)
Members of the North Section Tennis Advisory Committee should also attend the seeding meeting because we will also be discussing the upcoming changes to the guidelines for the 2012-2015 girls and boys seasons:
1. Page 1: Add dates for additional north/south EAL bracket in the north section team championship playoffs. NAL and EAL playoffs would begin on Wednesday
2. Appendix C: Reconstruct the entire Team Championship bracketing or Switch the seeding so that the #1 seeding would be determined by overall record rather than by north or south.
3. Page 3: Two Individual Tournaments for the EAL—North and South.
4. Page 3: USTA officials will may be assigned for the Team and Individual Championships…
5. Page 3: Revision of entries by league into the Section tournament as follows:
